A heads up on your homestead exemption
If you changed your mailing address after a storm, make sure the county appraiser has not changed your homestead exemption status.

VBRA is the volunteer residents association working to protect our beaches, our waterways, and the quality of life we all enjoy. Our collective voice has never mattered more.
Who We Are
Vanderbilt Beach affords a pleasant residential environment and world renowned beaches. Our residents include families who live here year round, retirees who stay full time or seasonally, and the many visitors who love this stretch of the Gulf.
Founded in 1968, the Vanderbilt Beach Residents Association represents the interests of every property owner in our platted community. As land grows scarce and development pressure rises, keeping the balance between residential life and tourism takes vigilance, and a collective voice.
That is what VBRA is: your neighbors, volunteering their time to make sure Vanderbilt Beach stays the place we all chose.
Our Work
For more than five decades, VBRA has worked with county officials and neighboring communities on the projects that keep Vanderbilt Beach beautiful, safe, and livable.
Ongoing renourishment and maintenance that keeps our world renowned sand where it belongs.
Regular water testing in Vanderbilt Lagoon and Water Turkey Bay, plus dredging and waterway improvements.
Landscaped medians and entry statements along Vanderbilt Drive and Gulf Shore Drive.
Traffic lights, stop signs, speed and truck weight limits that make local streets safer.
Access, parking, and restrooms at Bluebill Avenue, plus more parks and protected green space.
No wake and idle speed zones that protect our waterways, seawalls, and shorelines.
Our Home
Sunrise on the sand, sunset over the Gulf, and a community worth standing up for. That is what every membership helps protect.
MSTU & Advocacy
From the dollars that fund our beautification to the developments that would reshape our skyline, VBRA keeps residents informed and represented.
Created by the County Commission in 2001, the Vanderbilt Beach Beautification Municipal Services Taxing Unit funds landscaped medians, street lighting, sidewalks, traffic calming, and the ongoing burial of power lines.
A five member advisory board, made up of residents, directs how those funds are spent right here in our neighborhood.
Your tax dollars, working locallyWhen large scale projects like One Naples threatened the character and scale of our community, VBRA organized residents, presented at County Commission hearings, and made sure our concerns were heard.
We build working relationships with elected officials and county staff so that when it matters, your voice carries weight.
